What is Daejeon Q-Fill?

Q-Fill is a combined method that uses a hyaluronic acid-based ingredient along with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) extracted from autologous blood.
PRP is an ingredient extracted from one's own blood, known for its rich growth factors that are effective for skin regeneration.
By combining these two, it goes beyond simple volume enhancement and can positively impact skin condition improvement.

This combined effect is considered an approach that considers the skin's inherent condition, rather than just external correction, leading to longer-lasting and more natural changes.

The reason Q-Fill has a longer duration than regular fillers is due to the PRP component. Hyaluronic acid fillers naturally break down over time, but PRP promotes collagen production in the injected area, helping the volume last longer.

While regular fillers last about 6 months to 1 year, Q-Fill effects often last for 1.5 to 2 years. Of course, the duration may vary slightly depending on individual skin condition, lifestyle, and the treated area.

Occasionally, unexpected side effects may occur, or if the results are unsatisfactory, removal of Q-Fill may be considered.

1. Why is ‘Removal’ Necessary?

If non-absorbable fillers (Q-Fill, Artecoll) or threads are injected incorrectly, the following changes may occur over time:

Recurrent swelling/inflammation

Hard nodules (lumps) or uneven surface

Asymmetry and loss of contour

Tightness, tenderness, and skin discomfort

Tone changes and nodule formation due to tissue reaction

These issues are difficult to resolve naturally and require professional removal and correction.

2. BA Clinic’s Standard for ‘Non-Surgical Removal’

BA Clinic removes, dissolves, and corrects foreign substances using only needles, cannulas, and injections, without any incisions.

In other words:

No incisions,

No scars,

Minimized recovery period,

Minimized tissue damage,

are the four key principles.

3. Removal Method – Non-Surgical Procedure

① Softening Fibrosis and Stabilizing Inflammation Around Foreign Substances

It is difficult to remove foreign substances immediately if the surrounding tissue is hardened.

BA Clinic first stabilizes the tissue through the following steps:

Injection to relieve micro-adhesions (fibrosis)

Inflammation control injection

Use of a composition to soften the surrounding tissue

This process alone softens nodules and makes them accessible by needle/cannula.

② Non-Surgical Foreign Substance Removal using Needles/Cannulas

If the foreign substance is palpable or its location is somewhat identifiable,

we attempt safe removal using a needle or cannula without incision.

‘Aspiration’ Removal: Gradually expelling foreign substances in lump form through a needle

‘Dispersion/Dissolution’ Removal: Using a cannula to break down the fibrous membrane, changing residual substances embedded in the tissue into a state that can be removed.

Thread Removal: Locating the end of the thread near the skin and selectively removing it with needle access only.

Aspiration, dissolution, and tissue management are all performed non-surgically.

Key Point:

BA Clinic’s expertise lies in identifying the texture, location, and fixation of foreign substances through palpation, and selectively removing or dissolving them as needed, all without incisions.

③ Post-Removal Line Restoration and Secondary Correction

The process doesn't end with just removing the foreign substance; it includes correcting the natural contour after releasing hardened tissues and adhesions.

Micro-dissection (releasing adhesions)

Regenerative injection

Correctional injection if volume realignment is needed

We provide a complete process from removal to tissue stabilization and line restoration.

4. Why Multiple Sessions?

If nodules or fibrosis are severe, aggressive removal in one session can lead to depressions, asymmetry, or skin damage.

BA Clinic proceeds safely in the following stages:

Stage 1: Inflammation stabilization and tissue softening

Stage 2: Non-surgical foreign substance removal

Stage 3: Line restoration and secondary correction

We adjust the plan at intervals of 4-12 weeks depending on the patient's tissue condition.

5. Changes After Removal

Temporary swelling and bruising

Changes felt as hardened tissues soften

The process of the shape refining after removal

Differences in recovery speed due to pre-existing fibrosis

Typically stabilizes within 1-3 weeks.

6. Who Needs This Procedure?

Those with hardened tissue around foreign substances

Those experiencing recurrent chronic swelling or inflammation

Those needing correction for asymmetry

Those whose contours have changed due to old fillers/threads

Those concerned about whether non-surgical options are possible

7. BA Clinic’s Differentiating Factors

① Expertise in Non-Surgical Removal

Using needle/cannula-based approaches, we remove or dissolve foreign substances precisely without scarring.

② Step-by-Step Approach Prioritizing Tissue Preservation

We minimize tissue damage and plan for recovery without aggressive removal in one session.

③ Solution Including Reconstruction After Removal

We focus on restoring natural contours, not just removal.

8. When Can I Get Retreatment After Removal?

Tissue stabilization typically takes 4-8 weeks. After that, if necessary, we can proceed with partial volume correction, contour realignment, or treatments to improve elasticity and texture.
