What is Eyebrow Tattoo Removal?
Eyebrow tattoos are, naturally, tattoos placed directly on the eyebrow area where hair grows.
When removing eyebrow tattoos in Daejeon, using a standard nanosecond laser for removal can cause the eyebrow hairs to burn.
With the high-end PicoSure laser, a picosecond laser, it is possible to perform the procedure without burning eyebrow or eyelash hairs.

Is any Pico Laser the same?
Not all pico lasers are the same equipment.
Pico lasers range from equipment costing around 1 million KRW to devices costing 200 million KRW from Cynosure.
If the effect were the same, there would be no need to purchase the high-end 200 million KRW device.
Not all procedures and equipment labeled as 'pico laser' are the same.
Other considerations?
Lasers have various wavelengths. Lasers of specific wavelengths are effective for specific colors.
If an eyebrow tattoo has turned red or changed color over time, a different laser must be used for removal.
This requires the doctor to have extensive know-how in tattoo removal.
It is essential to receive accurate diagnosis and precise treatment based on the current condition of the eyebrow tattoo.
Before Tattoo Removal Laser Treatment at Our Clinic
24/08/01
This is the tattoo condition before treatment.
While it was considered beautiful at the time of tattooing,
the client regretted it over time due to its somewhat suggestive nature and decided to have it removed.

Mid-treatment progress photo.
Some pigment appears to remain,
so an additional session was performed.
25/03/17
Photo taken upon visit after a certain period post-treatment.
The tattoo pigment ink appears to be completely broken down and gone,
but the brown discoloration due to skin irritation from the laser treatment
will require a bit more time.
(This is similar to the period it takes for skin to turn brown after popping a pimple and it heals.
It is called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.)
After a few months, the tattoo color will fade significantly, becoming barely visible.

Procedure Process
Is it different from general tattoo removal?
Yes, eyebrow tattoos are on a sensitive area with 'hair follicles', and general tattoo removal methods can cause eyebrows to burn or create gaps. The PicoSure laser breaks down pigments with very short duration and high output, allowing for safe removal without damaging hair follicles.
Are all PicoSure devices the same?
No. 'Pico Laser' device prices vary widely, and the more expensive the equipment, the better its pigment decomposition ability and and the less skin damage it causes. BA Clinic uses genuine PicoSure from CYNOSURE, an American company, considering both safety and effectiveness.
How often should I receive the procedure?
Typically, we recommend 3 or more sessions at 3-4 week intervals, and the number of sessions will be adjusted depending on the depth, color, and pigment changes of the tattoo.
Can eyebrow tattoos that have turned red or changed color also be removed?
Yes, even if they have turned red or changed color over time, they can be safely removed with a wavelength appropriate for that color. Accurate diagnosis and corresponding laser settings are required.
Can scars or pigmentation remain after removal?
PicoSure causes less thermal damage to the skin than traditional nano lasers, making the possibility of pigmentation very low. However, depending on skin type or regenerative capacity, hyperpigmentation or redness may occasionally appear, so moisturizing and sun protection after the procedure are very important.
What is the level of pain during the procedure?
Pain varies from person to person, but after applying anesthetic cream and performing the procedure, it is mostly at a tolerable level. With PicoSure, the irradiation time is short, so pain is also minimized.
Tattoo colors are diverse, can they be treated with a single laser wavelength?
It is difficult to uniformly remove all colors with a single wavelength. Pigments react to different wavelengths depending on their color, concentration, and depth, so multiple wavelengths must be combined to remove them in a balanced way without residual pigment. Therefore, BA Clinic uses a wavelength combination protocol tailored to the characteristics of each color to remove them more accurately and quickly.
What difference does using Picosure and Lucas together actually make?
Because the two devices have different output characteristics, wavelengths, and pulse widths, when combined, the efficiency of pigment destruction and safety are significantly enhanced. Picosure is strong against stubborn and fine pigments, while Lucas stably reacts to deeply embedded black and dark pigments. Therefore, when using both devices together, precise energy distribution is possible according to how each pigment reacts, and there is the advantage of faster removal speed while reducing excessive thermal damage.
Is tattoo removal in sensitive areas (eyebrows, eyeliners, etc.) safe even with a general laser?
Around the eyes and mucous membranes, the skin is thin and there are many blood vessels and nerves, so safety may be compromised with general parameters. Therefore, for sensitive areas, output, spot size, and energy density should be set according to dedicated standards to avoid excessive heat accumulation. BA Clinic uses a dedicated parameter protocol specifically for these areas, designed to sufficiently react with the pigment while minimizing the risk of blisters, swelling, and scars.
